Picked this book up at a flea market a year ago, real bargain. I have had two of these counting this one, wish I never sold the other as it was in better condition. Published to celebrate the opening of the new AH Chancellery, this one even has the draft drawings in the back that are often missing. Beautiful building, a lot of the red marble was used after WW2 to reline the nearby Friedrickstrasse underground station (excuse spelling) - I have seen it several times.

One thing you can say about the Nazi regime is that they did their decor in style. From their art deco buildings and their uniforms. Very precise.

If you are ever in Berlin, certainly worth taking a look at the metro station, masses of red marble, very spectacular indeed.

Yes its very interesting to see all that marble at the station Ron, makes you think on where it was in the building originally.

I plan to get back to Bavaria in the near future, I miss Robert a lot, he was such a nice gentleman, I have many happy memories when he was with my family and me, he always treated my kids to as many ice-creams as they wanted, the hotel in the centre of Berchtesgaden we virtually stayed there for nothing, thanks to Robert.
