Carl Zeiss 7 x 50 binoculars

This is my second pair of "blc" marked 7 x 50 binoculars I've found at the car boot. The last pair was 2016. I still have those but these look like they were made yesterday but do have that old odour to them. Made by Carl Zeiss circa 1943. Not sure if these are civilian, military Heer or Kriegsmarine? They are in very good shape with a little bit of fungus in the outer edge of the left hand adjustable lens. They came in a case which is not original but when i asked the price, I nearly ripped the guys arm off! I can assume as they were not in a black case but a more modern brown leather one that people may have not realised what these were? Lenses are clear with individual focus on each side. The one piece lens cover translates "Eyepieces secured, do not twist". Absolute bargain, it's still out there boys, you just got to keep looking. :thumbsup:
