Los Angeles 1932 Olympic Album.

Postby Dave_Holden » Sun Feb 09, 2020 2:39 pm

Here is another item I found today, really great condition complete with all cards and cover. It has a dedication hand-written inside dated 1938, but I cannot read it as yet. Interesting to see Hindenberg inside the front cover, of course later replaced in 1936 by Hitler. I will try and figure out the dedication and get back to you all.

The album is really in top condition for 1932

Nice find Dave. I wonder if this book would have been a candidate for a book burning session seen as its the LA olympics?

Great find Dave, looking forward to the deciphering of that hand written message.

Just imagine the person, who put all them photo's together.. to make this album?

I bet he had a great time, all those years ago, assembling all the cards and stuff.

Made up you got it Dave, it might have been "lost" forever..

Thanks for comments chaps. I really have been trying to read the dedication but cannot figure it out. I might take it to work for my German colleagues to try and read it. Interesting it's dedicated in 1938 and the book is from 1932, maybe a present from someone?
