WW2 British Helmet

Postby The Devils Bank » Sat Sep 08, 2018 8:59 pm

WW2 British Military Helmet, Original decent condition with surface rust patches.

Helmet has the marking "JSS" which I have been told stands for Joseph Sankey & Sons Ltd, Bilston.

Produced between 1938 and 1941?

No other markings on the helmet that I can see.

The helmet liner is dated 1940.

Cam net fitted to helmet, but no chin strap.

A original piece of history that has not been restored or altered? :-??

Well done Pete looks the goods mate. Nice original helmet and the liner is in great condition with a nice oval shape. Next to the JSS stamp there appears to be a 1 obscured in the photo by the netting are there any more numbers following the 1 that you can see? Overall a really nice helmet Pete, you should be very pleased indeed  Regards Mark
