Remembering this day the 109 crew members who lost their lives on HMS Glowworm. The Glowworm sank after ramming the German battleship Hipper off Norway. Its commanding officer Lieutenant Commander Gerard Broadmead Roope, was awarded a posthumous Victoria Cross, the first to be awarded in WW2. One of those lost was Stoker 1st class P/KX89100 Wilfred James Findon aged 22.(My Uncle on the left of the picture):sad:
