US patches

Postby muckaroon1960 » Tue Dec 31, 2019 2:12 pm

Just to round of the year, here are some more patches I've acquired this year for my collection.
Naval Air Station, Norfolk, Virginia. circa 1960's. Unused.
US Naval Comms centre, Pensacola, Florida. circa 1960's.Unused.
Hercules AC130 gunship patch, "Spooky Gunner" (one of my favourites).Unused.
318 fighter interceptor squadron which was disbanded 1989 and flew F15's. Used
35 Combat repair squadron part of the 35th TFW based in Misawa, Japan.Unused.
USAF postal & courier service. Used
Confederate air force now known as the commemorative air force from 2002 which owns and flies various old combat planes.Used

The crazy thing with patches is the variation in price ranging from £20 each for the naval station patches, spooky gunner £7, 318 FIS £5, down to a £1 each for the last three. **==

The spooky gunner is a classic, really like this patch and got to say it would look great on my leather flight jacket.

Great patches Paul  you are very lucky to find an area of collecting that you enjoy without costing a arm and a leg.
