HJ Varnished Drawing.

Postby Dave_Holden » Sun Mar 31, 2019 12:49 pm

Here is something else from Prague. Nice handy size and certainly old as the nails on the back justify. Thought it was a painting, but looking closely seems to be a drawing or print that has been thickly varnished.

Cheers

Dave.

can you see paper pasted on Dave? Looks to me like a "sketch" in oils - a quickly done painting as an aid for composition before starting a larger more detailed painting.

Looks like it's been drawn or painted on a thick piece of card Mark.
