DJ Belt Buckle.

Postby The Devils Bank » Wed May 06, 2020 6:35 pm

A nice and used DJ (Deutsches Jungvolk) belt buckle by Petz and Koch.

This RZM UE 72 was introduced in 1933.

It's constructed out of a single piece of die struck brass that has been copper flash coated, nickel-silver plated.

The rectangular shaped obverse features a centrally placed bronze Sigrune (The Deutsche Jungvolk emblem) which lies on a smooth silvered backing.

The reverse has a soldered on brass based catch and plated steel pin/post sleeve and prong assembly.

Clearly maker marked, and it shows typical surface scratches throughout.

The plating remains 90%+ intact.

It measures approximately 2 ½ inches wide by 1 7/8 inches tall.

I've been after one of these buckles for a while now, and finally happy to get my hands on one

Yes Dave, they are becoming harder to find.
